Instructions

Step 1
Melt butter in saucepan
Step 2
add cumin seeds and fry for one minute

Add chopped onions and fry until caramelized. This can take 20-30 minutes, and is really important for the taste of the dish.

Combine all spices in a small bowl and mix with water, then add to browned onions. Fry for about one minutes.
Step 5
Add the chickpeas WITH fluid into the saucepan, stir, then simmer on low for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Serve with rice
