Most grocery stores sell ricotta in the dairy section, but it's actually not hard to make with milk, lemon juice and optional salt. Basically you heat the milk, stir in the lemon juice, let sit to separate into curds and whey, adding more lemon juice after 10 - 15 minutes if it doesn't completely separate and strain for 10 minutes or more.
