I am having trouble finding healthy recipes that work for me. Any recipe reccomendations?

I am trying to eat healthier, but most things considered generally healthy really hurt me ( really bad stomach aches, headaches, acid reflux, ect.). Some of these ingredients that I need to avoid are oats, dark chocolate, citrus fruits(even tomatoes), raw veggies, whole grains, most legumes, whole nuts. I also tend to avoid eating big portions of meat. I mostly stick to chicken, turkey, salmon, or (very) small portions of beef. Usually I end up giving up on trying to eat healthy because I always end up in just as much pain (sometimes more) and put in twice as much effort.

I suffer with Gerd also. I have found that eating alot of yogurt and getting probiotics is the key to success.

I had very similar issues. It turned around for me when I started drinking low acid coffee. If you make cold brew with regular coffee it cuts the acid by over 90 %. I also order low acid coffee to put in my k-cup.

This sounds like a tough spot. A friend of mine has similar restrictions, and I know she struggles with eating in a way that doesn't set her body off. My biggest suggestion is to start by consulting a nutritionist that you can discuss the complexity of your specific situation. A medical restriction is way different than an avoidance because you don't like the taste or something. If you have insurance, see if a nutritionist or dietician is covered by your plan, and know that you are doing the best you can, even if you've given up for the moment. Good luck!!

This sounds like my problem. I am continually frustrated at these GERD diets that suggest eating foods that are supposedly good for sufferers but trigger acid reflux in me (brown rice, bananas, oatmeal...). A few weeks ago in utter frustration I added kombucha and milk kefir to my diet, hoping they would do something, anything. After about a week of drinking both I noticed more frequent bowel movements (I have IBS with constipation) and lower occurrences of acid going upward. So it seems that, in me anyway, the underlying issue is slow gut motility with an incomplete emptying of the stomach which was pushing acid up my esophagus. This might be something to consider if you see a doctor or nutritionist for your issues. Best wishes that you get some relief soon.

I have almost the same problem but mine still a little bit different I recently had didn't know I had until I went to the doctors extremely high blood pressure was 192 and I had to do something about it came across this book on Amazon the easy low sodium diet plan and cookbook it's more than that it has great ideas and recipes then you can come back to this site and look at the recipes out there and that's what I've been doing a lot but I do have a tendency to go back to my the stuff I do like one thing I do eat and has a lot of a probiotics and dad is Greek yogurt hope this helps for you like I said I have stomach issues to I had a bad ulcer years ago

I agree that finding a nutritionist would be a good choice. You also might try the low fodmap diet. Some of your issues sound like they overlap with that, and you should be able to find recipes targeted to that system.

Thank you very much I will also twos I'm thinking about doing it because there's so many people I heard and even my doctor said so that this is a good the Mediterranean diet not necessarily for me for the diet it shows and give you recipes on a better way to balance your ear nutritions

I make this every couple of weeks for someone with similar issues. I freeze it in portions so he can have it whenever he needs.
