Hi there, I'm no expert on this subject, but I can tell you how I was preparing it, and it turned out ok :) I would first soak it in water overnight in some covered container. Then I'd drain and rinse the barley before starting the cooking process. Afterwards, I would first bring it to boil, and then reduce the heat to medium and cooking for additonal 25-30 minutes. Just make sure you drain it again before serving, and that's all the knowledge I can share here :D
