This was delicious!
The flavors of the sauce (Alfredo) and arugula were very complimentary.
I prefer a dense bun that can hold up to a heavy, juicy sandwich like this, so I used toasted, buttered sub rolls in place of hamburger buns.
I added a little lemon juice to the sauce to give it tang and topped the bun with a smoky provolone cheese.
I served each sandwich with a little side of extra sauce.
I think next time I might add a little chopped basil to make it ever more Italian but it was excellent as-is.
The only thing to note is that the prep for this is pretty labor intensive and you use a lot of dishes and utensils.
But worth it!
My family gave it 5 stars.
