The cake itself is fine, but the frosting is bland and not the right texture to spread and stack a tiered cake on. I’m not sure what happened really, but I think just because it’s a whipped cream frosting it doesn’t hold up as well as a standard buttercream (though I’ve never had problems with a frosting like this before). Just not a huge fan and there are tons of better lemon cakes out there.
