I was doubting the sour cream, but it was yummy. The 1/4 measuring was too much effort to bother doing so for the layers I just eyeballed and put however much was needed to cover everything evenly. I probably used more cheese than what was called for because one of my dishes was bigger. The pound of pasta and ground beef made this rectangle dish pictured as well as a 8x8 one that I froze for another night.
I didn't use two full jars of sauce, just one 30 ounce mixed in with the beef, and it was plenty.
I sprayed the underside of my foil when covering it so the cheese on top wouldn't stick to it as it cooked
