This is my current go to chilli recipe, but I do modify it. The first time we made it as is, and while it was still very good, we felt it didn't feature enough beans and tomato, and leaned too heavily into the beef flavor.
So, now I add one can of chilli beans and one can of diced tomatoes, as this was always in my mom's recipe. I bump up the spices to 1.5 times the original to compensate. Fixed any small complaints we had!
