I think i will try this in a big pot on the stove next time. The crockpot was fine but since you had to cook the beef anyways it wasn't a set-it-and-forget-it kind of meal. I didn't plan my day with time to cook the ground beef at dinner, so I ended up putting it in with the veggies in the morning. I just had to scoop out some of the oil that had separated out onto the top before serving and it was fine. Also used half and half instead of the milk/flour/butter combo. It was a little more soupy than goopy to my liking but the kids loved it with a little bit of white rice. And ketchup to complete the cheeseburger effect. ๐
