So there's a couple of problems with this. I just tried following this recipe, I think the ratios are right but the instructions are all wrong.
Don't put the rice Krispies in a separate pan to mix with, that ruined everything for me.
Don't lay all of the rice Krispies out for when you pour all the marshmallow and butter mix on top of it, it's way too hard to mix it. As soon as it leaves the pot, it's pretty much done and you have only a really short time to get it prepared otherwise it will turn into a solid sticky mess like it did for me.
To fix this, you need to mix the rice Krispies into the pot with the melted marshmallows and butter, otherwise it's literally impossible to get spread evenly. This way, everything will still be liquid and will be far easier to manage.
Don't be dumb like me and follow these crappy instructions.
