Couldn’t see the video so I just used a different recipe and then used this recipe to make the icing. The icing was deliciously lemony and sweet. Loved it :)
Thanks to another’s comment: “just mix all your wet ingredients first with the lemon zest and juice (without the butter and sour cream), then add in the dry and mix. Add the butter and sour cream last and bake!”
Excited to try this recipe for the cake next time and compare the turnouts of the two recipes.
Update: used this recipe for the bread portion and it was much tastier than the last recipe. I would recommend checking at 40 min because the extra 5 min made the batch pretty crispy and brown on top. Not bad, just not the best. I would also wait to make the frosting until the cake has cooled.
