Holy moly, even half the sugar was wayyyyy too much. This recipe needs to be re-ratioed so that it tastes better.
Alterations: decreased the sugar and chocolate chips by half, but still to sweet. Also added a .25 t nutmeg and .5 t Saigon Cinnamon for enhanced flavor (would recommend). I used semi-sweet chocolate chips only.
Overall: I liked the idea of BIG cookies, but it was a bit painful to eat these because they were so sweet.
Next time: increase flour, decrease sugar, try bittersweet chocolate (chopped) and maybe some nuts like walnuts.
