Love making this with youngin's but keep them clear of the stove while cooking. Only involve them to see the sugar crystals melt, then the syrup and how the syrup turns into a solid again. Great display of science. Then let the kiddo's wack the solid candy. They may need goggles if they are too rough with the wack!
