Our sauce wasn't as lovely and dark as the sauce in the picture. ๐ And I'd definitely recommend doubling the sauce because I don't think one can ever have enough sauce. Tasted pretty good, though for some reason, I wanted "crunch" with it (not sure if that means a crunchy vegetable or maybe water chestnuts or wonton strips? Even the picky eater who dislikes "Asian food" said it was fine. They also asked for broccoli or a veggie with it if we make it again.
Side note - I hate slow cooker recipes that call for a cook time on low that's under 8 hours. The whole point of using my slow cooker is to be able to come home from work and have dinner ready. Sorry for the sermon. ๐
