Perhaps for someone with different taste buds this would do the trick but it wasn't flavorful enough for me and unfortunately I'm not strong enough of a cook yet to know what to change on my own to make it better. Doubtful I would make it again.
I did learn after the fact that you are supposed to look at your lentils for pebbles (!!) so everyone be sure to do that BEFORE you cook this soup or anything with lentils.
