← Replies in Baked Beans with Ground Beef Recipe

I had to improvise and make some substitutions based on what we had in the house since I didn't have time to hit the grocery store. We were out of bacon and ketchup, so I used a tsp liquid smoke to add smokiness and a Hawaiian BBQ sauce. Since the BBQ sauce is pretty sweet already I subbed in brown Splenda for brown sugar. I thought we had ground beef in the freezer but it was ground chicken...worked well in its place. Will need to make the recipe as intended following the directions another time. All in all tasty! Very satisfying!
