I made my own almond meal, used sayer dates instead of medjool, and added chocolate chips to the oat mixture instead of shaved chocolate on top. Turned out tasty. Very filling. I am using up a protein powder I'm not a huge fan of, so I did notice a protein powder taste, but the sweetness from the chocolate and fresh banana covered it well. The fresh banana slices add so much flavour, definitely don't skimp (also layer them in the middle or under the cream to avoid browning)!
