they turned out so light, delicate and airy - just like the macarons i buy in bakeries!! the espresso flavor was just right and not too strong, plus it perfectly eliminated the overwhelming sugary taste of meringues. it was my first time trying to bake macarons, i even bought a mat only to try baking these delicious treats. absolutely no regrets~
although the macaron cookies themselves cracked a little, but it’s probably ‘cause i’m lacking technique
one last note - it definitely took me more than 1.5h to complete everything, so i recommend having extra time for full completion. maybe 2 or 2.5 hours for the whole process
