Delicious! I subbed the bacon for breakfast sausage, used Colby Jack cheese, and a French baguette. I added 2 Tbsp garlic butter, ¼ tsp smoked paprika, ½ white onion diced, and diced cherry tomatoes. Also, I used crisco instead of butter for my pan.
Only issue I had was the baking time/temp. I did exactly what the recipe said; baked it covered with foil at 350°F for 25 minutes, then uncovered and baked for 15 minutes. I put it back in for 2 minutes to get the bread a little more golden brown. Let it rest for 5 minutes before taking it out of the spring form and it looked great, but when I cut into it, the bread in the middle was still very eggy. I covered it and put it back in at 350°F for 15 more minutes, and I still found the very middle to be a little raw so I ate around it. Next time, I will try the same cooking instruction but bake at 375°F instead.
I did have a leaky spring form pan, so I ended up losing some egg. Next time, instead of letting the bread soak in egg for 30 minutes covered in the fridge, I will leave it overnight to make sure it's completely absorbed.
