We live Middle Eastern spices in our food so we decided to try this.
NOTE! In the instructions it doesn't say to COOK the ground beef, but just to stuff the seasoned beef into the pitas and bake for about 15 minutes which sounds sketchy on doneness for us. Although we love a medium rare steak, we require ground beef well done for health reasons.
We followed the instructions up to when we added the beef, but then we spread the seasoned beef in a sheet pan and baked the beef alone. It took about 30 minutes, stirring/chopping every 10 minutes, to be safely cooked to our liking.
We then stuffed the pitas and followed the recipe. It was very good!
