Would cut oil down to 2 cups (2:1 oil to garlic ratio) Tried with avocado oil and was too oil-forward, Try with something more mild

Absolutely!! I made this recently and the suggestion of 2 cups was perfect for canola oil. I used a heaping cup of fresh garlic cloves and 2 cups of canola and it was amazing!!! This will be a fridge staple going forward. Delicious!
