So I made this using 1 pound of ground turkey. Bc of that, the recipe called for two cans of everything, which I bought, but only ended up using 1 can of each bc it was plenty. I will say when I first cooked the meat with the onions, garlic, and a salt sprinkle, I tasted it and it was super salty, so I was like oh Chucks! But, after I added everything else and the water, the saltiness leveled out. I didn't use as much of the spices either. Not a huge fan of cumin or Chilli powder. Used 1 tsp of cumin and .5 tsp of chili powder. Personal preference and it was just enough. I probably would have preferred to use less than one cup of quinoa as well, but it wasnt the worse. Overall easy to make. We served it on soft flour tortillas with avocado, salsa, and sour cream. My family enjoyed it, although they felt it had too much quinoa. My husband and I didn't mind it.
