note about water - 1 + 1/2 tbsp water is optional if using browned butter, if you prefer a lighter/less dense or fudgy brownie, adding the water to the browned butter will keep the flavor from the butter but will mimic the texture of the brownies if made with normal butter. personally I don't add any additional water as I prefer the dense texture, but it's entirely personal preference whether you add it or not
