Came out pretty good. Probably should have seasoned the meat more than I did. Husband loved it. Served it with corn bread and fruit. Had lots of gravy so grits or grains to smother in gravy would have been nice. None of the prep was especially difficult but it was time consuming. Including cook time, it took at least two hours.
Followed directions exactly except using beef broth since we had some open. And threw in sprigs of fresh thyme and rosemary but didn't have bay leaves. Only used 1 tbsp brown sugar. It took some time to boil the gravy down but after removing from heat, it thickened up nicely. I had pretty small ribs (9 ribs = 2lbs) but the cook time still worked nicely.
