I doubled the butter and flour and half as much more milk cause I wanted it thick for a lasagna.
It came out amazing! You can cut back on the cheese if you like. Dare I say it was too cheesy, and I had diluted it with 50% more milk.
When frying the butter I like to sprinkle in spices like cumin or (smoked) paprika, or cayenne pepper. Or just a smidge of nutmeg is especially nice but use sparingly cause too much can over power the sauce! Start with 1/8 of a teaspoon.
But good sauce.
