I used this yellow cake recipe to make pineapple upside down cake I used bread flour instead of all purpose flour which made it more fluffy and soft almost like an angel food cake I also added a tablespoon of pineapple juice to the cake mix to give it a little more pineapple taste but that's optional if you like more pineapple like my husband that's the way to go
