After waiting forever to try making this because it’s very time consuming, this recipe was well worth the wait!! This chickpea “chicken” came out perfect, the BEST vegan chicken I’ve tried by far! I would probably reduce the amount of miso paste the next time I make this (and there WILL be a next time!), the miso taste was a little too overpowering for my taste, but I still loved how it turned out! I made a sweet and sour chicken the first night using it after resting in the fridge for 24 hours, and my brain said this is really chicken because it couldn’t tell the difference. The texture is very shreddy, and can be used in so many dishes! I’m using the leftovers to make birria tacos! 😋🤤🌮
