Good fried chicken. But the flavor was not at all like KFC to me? Honestly a lot of work and clean up for 8 pieces of fried chicken. If I'm craving KFC, next time honestly I'll just save myself the time and trouble and go down and buy it instead. You need a lot of time to make this. I started at 5:30 pm and was finished eating by 7:45. Giving this a thumbs down not because it's not good but because it's just too much work. Now I understand why my parents never made fried chicken when I was a kid, lol. I miiiight make this like once a year or something like for a special occasion.
UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER: Made this again because I had a bunch of leftover stuff I needed to use up and I still was not impressed at all. underwhelming flavor, chicken was fried too dark on the outside despite doing exactly what the recipe said, ie keeping the oil temp consistent and frying for the suggested time. the thighs actually needed several more minutes than the drumsticks which didnt help. not impressed. Will not make again.
