This turned out SO fluffy and yummy and wasn’t too much trouble to make. Bonus points for being able to pour the frosting on while the cake is still warm! Some tips: first, keep an eye on the cake. Mine was done perfectly about 15 minutes before the recommended bake time. Also: I would recommend using salted butter for the frosting and then taste test and add 1-2 pinches of flakey sea salt if it doesn’t taste caramel-y enough to you. That’s what I did. I also sifted the powdered sugar for the frosting because nobody likes a gritty, lumpy frosting. But this was a perfect anytime dessert!
