This had absolutely no business being as tasty as it was, given how easy it was to make. Barely more difficult than a mug cake and twice as nice. I wanted chocolate dessert and could not summon the energy to bake, and this took me less than 15 minutes to throw together. Like everyone else I pre made the batter and topping and stored it in the fridge, adding the hot water just before baking it at dinner time. Came out perfect after 20 mins at 180C. I added a sprinkle of freeze dried raspberry pieces under the cocoa/ brown sugar layer.
This is my new favourite chocolate dessert to make.
