It was amazing. I did the following modifications:
Used chicken thighs, cut them in cubes, cooked it halfway on the stove. I put the chicken stock and let it simmer.
Doubled the sauce by adding more spices from the beginning. Put the flour and the chicken stock and whisked it until it thickened. I added a bit of parmesan and loads of mozzarella. I didn't have whipped cream so I added 2 tablespoons of creme fraiche, 2 tablespoons of yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese. Made it into a paste and thinned it with milk. Added the chicken and bacon and the rest of the stuff and added more milk until I felt it looks and coats okay.
