use what you've got
Substitute soft tortillas for the hard taco shells; substitute ground pork or ground turkey for the ground beef.
level up
Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, diced avocado, cilantro, Mexican crema or sour cream, queso fresco, red onion (fresh or pickled), lime wedges, and/or any of your favorite toppings would work here.
spice it up
Add ground cumin, ground coriander, and/or dried oregano to the aromatics in step 1.
