I also noticed that the recipes you are choosing are not going to be a help to your goal of being a smaller size, by calorie count; unless you are using them as a side to a LOT of vegetables. Or eating nothing the rest of the day. For a way of life that really takes off the weight and keeps it off I suggest "Fast Metabolism" by dietitian Haylie Pomroy. It is not a "diet", it is a way of living that really does bring good habits, good health, and good times. Food becomes your favorite friend, instead of "the enemy". I am down 2 dress sizes and I just did the first part of her program: getting my thyroid, liver, and adrenals working, and giving up corn! Now I am incorporating water into my life.
How many pounds I am ÷ 2 = how many ounces of water I need to drink every day BEFORE I drink any thing else. Before coffee. Before liquor. I sure feel 100% better and I haven't even gotten to the food part!

We only use the recipes here for dinner. We have an overnight oats with berries for breakfast (301 kcals) plus the recipe here for dinner. We are on a 500-calorie deficit and our targets are 1,600 and 1,800kcals so we definitely hits our daily goals 🙏🏻
That sounds like a great book, we're definitely going to check that out! We definitely agree that what we're doing is not a temporary thing but a lifestyle change so having the solid mental foundation and relationship with food is important.
