I give this venison Stew recipe 4 out of 5 stars. And a thumbs up with a few minor changes.
1. I added low sodium beef broth and ended up throwing in a few pinches of salt at the end, so i think i may use regular beef broth next time.
2. I made a slurry with an hour left cook time to thicken the stew up a bit. Without this method, the stew is the consistency of a soup ,in my opinion*.
3. I was out of onion and garlic, so I added garlic powder and onion powder. I think the garlic powder was good, but I'll have to make sure I add an onion to my grocery list the next time I make this.
4. And last, I'm going to sear my venison chunks before adding them to my slow cooker method as a texture preference.
