Absolutely could not get them crispy. I wanted it to work so bad :( the base tastes amazing but I don't know if it was my old oven or user error but I got them bone dry and still the edges would burn before the centers would crisp.

maybe try with a little oil in a fry pan

Air fryer should do the trick.

I was in the same boat. The base tastes soooo good! But they were burnt to a crisp or not barely cooked. I tried 3 separate times I wanted them to work so bad! 😭
