I'm a huge sloppy joe fan, and this hits the spot for me. I made a few trivial adjustments, doubling the mustard and using a whole small onion and whole small green bell pepper, but that's just me cooking, not a flaw with the recipe. I skipped the butter and just put a little avocado oil in the pan to brown the meat and soften the vegetables because I forgot to buy butter, but there's a lot of flavor going on here, so it probably didn't matter. I probably wouldn't miss the sugar either. I like to serve it on either the most basic hamburger buns you can find or potato bread rolls. Save the artisan bread for mopping up the coq au vin.
