I had so much fun prepping these ahead ( Diced up 1/2 a red pepper & 2 shallots, then shredded 3 cups of gouda cheese ๐ง)
I've never worked with pitas before & it was such a treat.
I used Classico Sweet Marinara & Basil Pasta Sauce, & was short by 1/2 cup, so I squirted Taco sauce into it.
It smelled absolutely delicious- and I had to use all of my will power not to sample because I'm a sucker for any za! These are intended for 10's school lunches this week. I actually had him try one today for his lunch. His eyes bulged out of his head and said "I can't believe how very, very, very good this is!" He gobbled his serving all up! I say that's a success! ๐
