So delicious!
I used walnuts instead of pecans, the nut layers in the crust were quite thick, even for my biggest cake tin. I think I could’ve gone for 40% less nuts.
I bought one pack of filo pastry, which had about 18 sheets but def would have loved more for the crust and some extra to scrunch on the top. I will buy two packs next time.
Generously brushed butter between each layer and all over the top of the cake before baking, which helped it to brown up nicely.
I also didn’t use lemon but it turned out fine.
