I added only the 1/4 tsp salt from the ingredients list, and it turned out great! I feel like the instructions make that confusing, so that's what I would recommend for it to not turn out salty (the way it's written make it look like they're saying 2 tbsp, which is way too much!). We had ours with some basmati rice and yum yum sauce. So good even the kiddo enjoyed!
