Ok, confession… I got here because of the @createdtocoffee guy (and if you love all things coffee, give him a follow, it's worth it!) and a particular coffee recipe with butterscotch, and the thought suddenly occurred, what's the difference between butterscotch and caramel? And here I am. And wow! So worth it. It's already had 💯 from everyone who had a lick off the hot spatula. It's silky smooth, buttery, darkly warming and absolutely delicious. And with that dash of salt, it gets rid of that super sweet ick that pure caramel can give. (which is also dangerous for the waistline, so I'd advise sticking to the half cup recipe limit!)
It's also incredibly easy to make, without that easy to burn factor that caramel can have.
And now I'm just waiting for it to cool down enough so I can give that coffee recipe a go... 😋
