I used Ghiradeli dark chocolate brownies. Prebake brownies for 30 minutes using a glass pan. I overcooked the pecan mixture just a bit on the stove, directions say until coats the spoon. Just coat the spoon. Bake for 25- 30 minutes more. Will still be jiggly.
