I had to substitute xantham gum for cornstarch and I do NOT recommend that method! The taste of the dish was amazing but the consistency was slimy and like gelatin. My husband and I ate about 4 bites and threw the rest away- which made me sad because we used flank steak!
I will try it again using cornstarch but please take my warning- xantham gum doesn’t sub well at all and we only used 2 tablespoons 🤣
