So I made a double batch of this this past weekend. It was devoured completely in less than 24 hours. I subbed beef broth for the water and used a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies plus a large can of whole peeled tomatoes chopped in the can with kitchen shears undrained, 3 cans mixed chili beans in sauce and added a tablespoon of sugar per quart because it was very sharp after cooking down that amount of spice at one time.
