This is true to it's late creator. It is truly the most delicious lasagna I've ever eaten. I did 1.5 beef and .5 sweet Italian sausage and no fennel. I made just the sauce again for spaghetti this week. Though it is a little too rich without the cheese to complement the tomato. And I added some crushed chili pepper!
