Turned out really good! I didn't have smoked ham hock, but I purposely used my leftover brown sugar ham. I cut the section that hadn't been sliced into cubes and used it. It did a slight sweet taste, but not overpowering. I added cubbed red potatoes and a cup of regular chicken broth to salt the taste. Turned out reaaly good. I will definitely try again, but with the smoked ham hock.
