I doubled the recipe, added flax and chia seeds to the oatmeal, and candied walnuts with the apples. The walnuts came out bland; put them in for a few minutes before you add the apples and it should help. Oatmeal was nutritious and filling, but could use a little more flavor as well - maybe adding some cinnamon or nutmeg directly to the oats will help. Leftover oats are going in the fridge in jars, and we'll see if they're good for breakfast tomorrow with different toppings.
