I made 2 separate batches...one with room temp everything, one with warm/slightly hot ingredients. The room temp items came out sooo much better. A lot of sugar and starch in this recipe but so dang yummy!
Notes: add 2 hours to prep! Hour for rising 2 separate times.
Also,make sure the dough has stayed moist/sticky while 'dough rises'. I waited 2 hours bc it didnt seem to want to rise. That 2nd hour it shot up! So 1 hour might not be long enough in my experience.
