It needs a far bigger baking tray. I used a 26cm cake tin - bottom layer burnt slightly, and cream layer was far too thick. I would say lasagne tray would be much better. Also 2 tblsp of rose water would lift the flavour as it's bit bland. Also, as my cake was too thick, it struggled to soak up the syrup, so it's a bit dry because of this. Will make it again but with improvements I mentioned above.
