I used the wrong cut of pork. I should have used pork shoulder, but I used loin instead. My bad, not the recipe. The flavor was great. If you aren't worried about food coloring use it because it really does hit the nostalgia nerve. Would have liked to have smoked it for that real low and slow vibe, but not possible where I live. No open flames, smoke, or any kind of cooker apart from the provided electric range and oven allowed anywhere on the property. Seriously, they give warnings for toasters. But it does give the feel of the real deal even if you don't use the right cut.
