I made mine a lot smaller and thinner, about 2 tablespoons per burger and served them spicy garlic aioli. Despite the AI image, these are not meant to be served on hamburger buns.
Best if you already have a cup of leftover cooked rice. I only had 5 oz of mushrooms, so I added dehydrated dried mushrooms to make up the difference. I used a mix of Asian mushrooms. I also used walnuts instead of pecans, which the recipe author mentioned she also sometimes does as well.
You can't make this recipe correctly without a food processor. If you don't have one, move along and find another recipe.
